Foot locker is an American sportswear and footwear retailer. Although, it is active in 20 countries, the headquarters are in New York City. Its predecessor has been the F.W. Woolworth Company. Foot locker has 3921 mall based stores in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific (as on January 28, 2006). Matthew D. Serra is the Chairman, President and CEO of Foot locker.
In the 1990s, it managed seventy percent sales of Kinney Shoe Corporation. In 2004, it got the Foot action USA brand and nearly 350 stores from Foot star at a cost of $350 million dollars. The core customer of Foot locker is the 12 to 20 year old individuals.
